“La fileuse” is a symbolic, universal, and timeless figure. The spinner composes a web, to the rhythm of seasons, civilizations, and myths, unfolding one after another. Actress and observer, she shields and protects discreetly. By means of her work, she obstinately links the precarious state of our earthly fate to the essential breath of life and to the movement of cosmic cycles.
