KunstZimmer 2020

"White Room" ist die Installation in Raum 209, im Rahmen des Kunstzimmer-Projekts, einem kuratorischen Projekt von Lucia Angela Cavegn und Anita Bättig
"Kunstzimmer - 2020" (Motto lauteet diesmal "Heimat-Orte", kunstzimmer.ch).
 

Patrizia Pfenninger - Room 209, "the White Room":
the place of origin represents a starting point but that no longer affect our life as it did during the past.
It shapes our first “set of details”, but being open to possibilities to new contact, we can really enhance
and better define our value and our genius loci. Anytime we experiment a new contact, we learn what we are used to know
from a different point of view: a new distance.

In my work with this installation I create an aseptic place where I carry my feeling and investigate
on distances between us (our experience) and what we are sure to know. Reproducing everyday's objects
in “anonimous” white cement, I ask to reconsider the object form its origin, I ask to refind a distance with its cultural,
emotional and physical dimensions. I analyze things for what they are, I try to loose my cultural over-structures.
