In 2024, VOLTA Basel will present its 19th edition with an expanded program of 50
galleries from 27 countries, including Lebanon, Nigeria, South Korea and Mexico.
This makes this year's edition, which will take place in Basel's trendy Klybeck district,
the most international in its history. The fair spotlights new artistic narratives and
aims to focus on underrepresented regions of the world.

Another highlight is the "Firsts" section, an area of the fair dedicated to galleries
exhibiting in Basel for the first time. Galleries include IPERCUBO from Italy, Lagos from Mexico, Odds and Ends from Hong Kong, Perve Galeria from Portugal, SKAL from the United Kingdom/Spain, TAMARA KREISLER Gallery from Spain, Wolf & Nomad from the United States and Wunika Mukan Gallery from Nigeria. VOLTA has a longstanding legacy of 19 years in Basel and has established a community of renowned galleries such as Ethan Cohen Gallery, U.S.A, Galerie Barbara Stechow and Galerie Heike Strelow, Germany who have been presenting artists at the fair for many years. The fair represents a stronghold of female galleries at the cusp of their trajectory upward through the market. At Basel 2024, this includes Gillian Jason Gallery from London, the Abigail Ogilvy Gallery, the Art Gallery 0-68, the Galerie Anja Knoess, the Galerie Barbara von Stechow, the Galerie Heike Strelow, the Warin Lab Contemporary and many more. The Advisory Board and the fair offers galleries and artists from underrepresented regions of the world the opportunity to internationalize and present
themselves in the classical art market.

The first VOLTA will take place in 2024 under the new artistic director Lee Cavaliere.
With his clear vision, Cavaliere is sharpening the fair's positioning and sees it as a
seismograph in a rapidly changing art market.
