A group show with Giulia Crispiani, Leda Bourgogne, Jeanne Jacob, Marta Margnetti, Sabian Baumann, Soñ Gweha, Tomás Paula Marques, Zheng Bo

The understanding of love has undergone significant transformations in recent years. In an era marked by digital and technological advancements, discussions on gender identities and challenges to traditional family structures have finally taken center stage. The concept of love is now subject to critical reevaluation, with a focus on its deep-seated connections to a capitalist social structure. In the face of certain states restricting rights for same-sex couples or re-criminalizing abortion, LGBTQ+ communities, in particular, are increasingly vocal in their resistance against rigid heteronormative ideals and legal constraints. They advocate for alternative forms of sexual and emotional intimacy as well as networks of care. The politics of love encompass not only how we love but also who we love. This group exhibition brings together artists employing various media to explore different facets of this complex issue.

On the evening of March 21st, our neighbor, MACRO – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma will open its doors to four new exhibitions in its exhibition spaces. An opportunity to make a double visit between MACRO and Istituto Svizzero
