Municipal Kitchens

Together with international artists and collectives, activists and local social organizations, the exhibition project “Municipal Kitchens” develops visions for another form of food culture. Using artistic means, a weekly workshop program and free meals, the nGbK’s new space, a former fast food restaurant, will be transformed into a public kitchen – with a central kitchen table as a place for discussions and joint suggestions: how can we dedomesticate kitchens and make them part of public urban space, how can food become a common good to connect citizens from all demographics?
