Seit ihrem 70. Jubiläum 2019 präsentiert sich die vormalige ecav unter einem neuen Namen und Auftritt. EDHEA nennt sich die Schule nun. Dies zeugt vom Bestreben des neuen Direktors Jean-Paul Felley, die Hochschule vorwärtszutreiben und ihr Profil zu schärfen. Zugleich ist es ein Zeichen, dass der Kanton Wallis die Bildung als Standortvorteil erkannt hat.
