Sebastian Stadler hat den Manor Kunstpreis St. Gallen 2019 erhalten. Der Künstler stellt sich Grundsatzfragen: Wann ist ein Bild ein Bild? Wie gehen wir heute mit Bildern um? Was kommt nach dem Bild? Das ist inhaltlich anspruchsvoll und im Fall Stadlers visuell ausgesprochen attraktiv. Das Kunstmuseum St. Gallen zeigt eine repräsentative Auswahl seiner Fotografien und Videos im Untergeschoss. Stadler reagiert gekonnt auf die dortige postmoderne Architektur. Er spannt mit ‹Pictures, I think› ein auf vielerlei Weise funktionierendes Wegenetz zwischen den Nischen, Räumen und Gängen auf.
