Vor fünf Jahren verwandelte Theaster Gates hundert Marmorplatten aus den Toiletten eines Bankgebäudes in eine Währung. ‹In Art We Trust› hiess die Intervention an der Art Basel, welche die Stony Island Arts Bank, ein Kultur- und Quartierzentrum in Chicago, finanzierte. Der Titel bleibt ein Credo, auch wenn die jetzige Interaktion im Kunstmuseum Basel zwischen symbolischen und Kapital-Werten diskreter bleibt.
