Vor über dreissig Jahren begann der Hamburger Biologe mit Fotografie. Ab 2005 entdeckte ihn Paris, trotz vieler internationaler Auftritte steht die Schweiz noch aus. Nun zieht das Centre Pompidou Bilanz eines, so der Kurator Florian Ebner, «immer sanften, nie sentimentalen Blicks auf die gemeinsame Umwelt».
