«The City never ends» heisst es in Catherine Gfellers «Versions d´elle», einer von kurzen Texten begleiteten fotografischen Bildergeschichte, die in New York entstand, wo die heute 39-jährige Fotokünstlerin nach einem geisteswissenschaftlichen Studium in ihrer Heimatstadt Neuchâtel und in Lausanne einige Jahre lebte. Die moderne Stadt ist Catherine Gfellers Thema geblieben, wie jetzt ihre in der Galerie Carzaniga ausgestellte Fotoserie «She wanders through Basel» zeigt.
