Zwischen Erinnerung und Auflösung
Zwei grosse Maler des Körpers gaben der ersten Düsseldorfer Quadriennale ihren thematischen Impuls: Das museum kunst palast zeigt eine gewichtige Caravaggio-Schau, während Francis Bacon im K20 eine umfassende Retrospektive gewidmet ist. Von der Stadt grosszügig gefördert, sind die verschiedenen Ausstellungsprojekte dieses Herbstes unter dem Thema des Körpers in der Kunst lose miteinander verklammert.
