Mai-Thu Perret - for another World
Seit über zehn Jahren arbeitet die in Genf lebende Künstlerin Mai-Thu Perret an einem Narrativ mit dem Titel ‹The Crystal Frontier›. Darin wird das Leben einer fiktiven Frauenkommune in New Mexico geschildert, die eine Existenz fernab patriarchaler und neoliberaler Strukturen führt. Anlässlich ihrer Teilnahme an der diesjährigen Venedig-Biennale und ihrer bislang grössten Einzelausstellung im Aargauer Kunsthaus spricht die Künstlerin über ihr Werk, das von Utopie, Moderne und einer Nähe zum Kunsthandwerk geprägt ist.
