Unsun: The Stories of A Thousand Untold Wounds of Suppression | Artist talk with Ashfika Rahman at Human Rights Film Festival

On Tuesday the 9 of April, Ashfika Rahman will hold an artist talk moderated by Lea Hofer at Foodcluster Zollhaus. The discussion will focus on exploring the insights of artist Ashfika Rahman's alternative visual archive of suppression within minority or marginalized communities in her homeland, Bangladesh.

WE ARE AIA has partnered with the Human Rights Festival and contributed to the project by inviting artist Ashfika Rahman to exhibit her work at Zollhaus throughout the festival. Work from Ashfika Rahman's series The Power Box will be on view at Foodcluster Zollhaus from the 4 of April until the 11 of April.
 
Rahman has created an alternative visual archive of the oppression of minorities and marginalised communities in her home country of Bangladesh. The project is presented with courtesy of VITRINE Art Gallery and it was commissioned by Samdani Art Foundation for the Dhaka Art Summit 2018.
 
The event will be held in English and German.
