Rachele Monti — Il contorno di un corpo non è il limite

EN For her solo presentation in KRONE COURONNE, artist Rachele Monti contemplates the skin as a place of negotiation between one’s physical self and all that is external; a porous and sensitive surface where one’s identity is being performed. Working from the street into the space and from the space onto the street, the artist uses the vitrine to evoke a sense of boundary – “working on the skin of the room”, as the artist puts it.

FR Pour sa présentation solo à KRONE COURONNE, l'artiste Rachele Monti envisage la peau comme un lieu de négociation entre le soi physique et tout ce qui est extérieur; une surface poreuse et sensible où se joue l'identité. Travaillant de la rue à l'espace et de l'espace à la rue, l'artiste utilise la vitrine pour suggérer un sentiment de frontière – "travailler sur la peau de la pièce", comme le dit l'artiste.

DE Für ihre Solopräsentation in der KRONE COURONNE betrachtet die Künstlerin Rachele Monti die Haut als ein Ort der Verhandlung zwischen dem eigenen körperlichen Selbst und allem, was sich nach aussen ist; eine poröse und empfindliche Oberfläche, auf der die eigene Identität aufgeführt wird. Indem sie von der Strasse in den Raum und vom Raum auf die Strasse arbeitet, benutzt die Künstlerin die Vitrine, um ein Gefühl der Grenze zu erwecken –- "an der Haut des Raumes arbeiten", wie die Künstlerin sagt.
