River Landscape - Interactive art performance Liquid Connections by artist Lena Maria Thüring

Her most recent project, entitled «Liquid Connections», evolves over several exhibitions and includes the production of a film as well as a spatial installation and a live performance. The starting point of the entire project is a dense, poetic text collage of scientific sources, speculative literature and pop culture references. Therein the artist explores the mutual relationships and connections between the element of water and the human body. The origin of our being is addressed as well as the threat to our existence caused by climate change.

In her text, the rise in sea levels due to global warming becomes a speculative vision of a return to the water and considers the possibility of human transformation towards a «multispecies» that can better meet the challenges of the future.
