Pequod

In this work, the sea takes on a bewildering and threatening appearance due to the loss of its idyllic color. The romantic vision associated with the idea of the sea is destroyed by two disturbing elements: the slightly blurring of the image and the subtle grid that fragments the image and requires its reconstruction. Oceans are at risk for plastics and human lives are threatened by rising oceans. In Indonesia, two thousand islands and forty-two million homes could disappear. The beautiful blue-turquoise color of the Caribbean Sea present in the collective imagination was sold in the gallery as souvenirs.
