The pictures show young women engaged in domestic activities who wear the reproduction of the yellow silk jacket which belonged to the Vermeer’s wife and appears in six of his paintings.The woman is relaxed, almost out of touch, the environment is reserved, but the objects of a busy, modern life can still be seen. This tranquility and the unfashionable yellow jacket in this modern environment, shows the gap between wishful and reality. The images project their own imaginative world and create a constant identity changing.The work also emphasizes today's mass production of fashion, a trend that is only possible thanks to the exploitation of labor in the poorest countries.
