VOLTA BASEL 2019

Gallery Wenger is pleased to present at VOLTA Basel 2019 a ‘solo project’ of emerging American artist Katy Ann Gilmore. Fascinated by architecture and about how simple lines can construct new perspectives, the artist loves playing with space and depth. Occupying the entire booth, the mural on the wall will be partly on vinyl and partly drawn directly on the wall, layered with smaller pieces. The artist is transforming the booth from a two-dimensional space into a three-dimensional tunnel structure, exploring different perceptions depending on the viewpoint, opening a new universe to the viewer.
