Gilles Furtwängler continues his exploration of language in the form of sculpture, sound and also visually with works that are equally large and form three parts of a whole. The works are directly attached to the walls, referencing large format, tattered posters, whereby the letters are written in glue before being covered with ashes, turmeric and black tea. By carefully using household items the artist allows the words and the rhythm of the sentences to ring out and plays with the variation in the size of the letters and their arrangement on
the wall. Furtwängler harks back to folk art by utilising the passing of time and overused words and invents a visual slam, at once mixed and globalized.
