C&G

Istituto Svizzero presents C&G, an exhibition by Gritli Faulhaber (1990) and Costanza Candeloro (1990) in Milan.
The two emerging artists belong to a young art scene characterised by numerous connections between Italy and Switzerland. Especially between the cities of Milan, Zurich and Geneva, connections have been developed in recent years, producing joint projects and collaborations between actors and players of the artistic and cultural scene.
Despite a different choice of their media — Gritli Faulhaber uses almost exclusively painting, while Costanza Candeloro creates drawings, video works and sculptures  —  the two artists are united by a strong research-based approach, which is nourished by references from art history but also from teenage culture or pop culture, and an interest in very different forms of image production.
For this exhibition, they both developed new works that are site-specific in their own way.
