Galerie Peter Kilchmann is proud to announce its first gallery space in Paris - once again the most important city for contemporary art on the European continent.

After 30 years of gallery existence, we are pleased to embark on this venture and be represented with two locations in Zurich and one in Paris. Situated at 11-13 Rue des Arquebusiers, in the 3rd Arrondissement, the new gallery lies within the heart of the lively Marais district, home to the most established art galleries in Paris, just a few steps from the Centre Georges Pompidou. The gallery is housed in a renovated Haussmann style building and measures 150m2. The gallery's immediate neighbourhood forms a cosmopolitan hotspot where new trends merge with the flair of historical sites such as the Hôtel de Ville or the Place des Vosges.

"The opening of the new venue marks another milestone in the history of the gallery, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. With our presence in Paris, we want to offer our artists and collectors another platform and place of encounter, embedded in one of the world's most buzzing centers for contemporary art". - Peter Kilchmann

Throughout the past thirty years, the gallery continuously pursued and furthered a cohesive program representing artists with diverse backgrounds and from different parts of the world, such as Francis Alÿs, Maja Bajevic, Hernan Bas, Monica Bonvicini, Leiko Ikemura, Teresa Margolles or Shirana Shahbazi. Most of the gallery's artists take a conceptual approach with socio-political and poetic themes and today cover all areas of artistic expression, including painting, video, film, photography, installation, and sculpture. The gallery in Paris will feature up to five exhibitions per year. The upcoming program envisages solo exhibitions by Leiko Ikemura, Dagoberto Rodriguez, Adrian Paci, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Kenrick McFarlane, and Andriu Deplazes. Participation in international art fairs includes Paris+ par Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach; ARCO Madrid; Art Basel in Basel, among others.
