Debut of Défroissage series of drawings and paintings
The exhibition debuts a series of never-seen-before paintings and drawings, his Défroissage series. Remerging as new characters through physical intervention, the paintings come to life after the raw canvas is crumpled and creased, and then the unfolded material is fixed with layers of resin, rendering the creased fragment as part painting, part object.  

‘So ein Mist!' as Poetically Orchestrated Scenography 
Seen as an oasis of tranquility, the Engadine gallery will offer a unique exploration of Sachs’ oeuvre and his probe with poetic language and sensibility toward objects. With highly explorative works spanning across the atmospheric space of a previous barn, Sachs translates his resonance with the region to the audience, seeking to elicit an emotional sensory reaction.
