Surrealismo Svizzera

MASI, in collaboration with Aargauer Kunsthaus of Aarau, is facing for the first time in depth with the theme of Surrealism, investigating both the influence this fundamental movement of the twentieth century has had on artistic production in Switzerland and the contribution of Swiss artists in defining it. The exhibition, born with the intention of filling the gap that prevents a global vision of Swiss artists linked to this trend/movement, consists of 400 works by the thirty most significant artists of Swiss Surrealism, including Jean Arp, Serge Brignoni, Alberto Giacometti, Paul Klee, Meret Oppenheim, Kurt Seligmann, Gérard Vulliamy and Isabelle Waldberg.
