Engadin Art Talks 2024

After the great success of the last Hoffnung? Hoffnung! forum, we warmly invite you to the next edition of our annual Engadin Art Talks in Zuoz, January 26-28. This years theme is Jenseits von Ohnmacht – Beyond Powerless.

Last year's speaker and former Chancellor of Germany, Joachim Gauck, reminded us during his speech that our world is in a crisis with global health, security and environmental problems and that art can and should play a central role in restoring balance including our relationship with nature towards a better future. 
 
In a world filled with challenges, uncertainty, and sometimes even seemingly insurmountable obstacles, “powerless” often seems omnipresent. But beyond this powerlessness lies a vast space of possibility, a space in which we discover strength and regain hope and ability to act - to achieve a deeper understanding of "powerless" as a state of distress that is relevant to humans as a concept, but also as a positive spiritual condition of ease and secure state.
