The fifth edition of DA Z with an outstanding program

With its fifth edition, DA Z - Digital Arts Zurich is once again showcasing outstanding international artists and up-and-coming talent. The festival offers interactive exhibitions, virtual and mixed reality experiences, audiovisual concerts and the D.A.S.C. Conference (Digital Arts and Sciences Conference) at various locations in Zurich. The various formats take visitors into virtual worlds and stimulate discussion about the far-reaching social effects of digitalization.

Exciting exhibitions.
At the end of October/beginning of November, some of the world's most renowned digital artists and up-and-coming talents come together in Zurich every year. Their contributions address global developments such as environmental destruction, growing social polarization and the influence of AI developments on our society. At the Museum für Gestaltung and the Schule für Gestaltung, artists present various forms and formats of digital culture in an immersive experience space.

Mixed reality in the Wasserkirche: Is God an AI?
In the Wasserkirche, visitors embark on a virtual prayer tour in search of God in the digital universe - in the form of mixed reality.
Here, the boundaries between reality and digital simulation are blurred, and the experience challenges us to question our perception of reality.

The legendary concerts in the Wasserkirche.
As has been the case since the first edition in 2020, exqusite, audiovisual concerts and performances will once again take place in the Wasserkirche: Among others with MAOTIK. The international star of audiovisual art will present his new audiovisual performance at the interface of art, science and technology.

DAZZED NIGHT, the big event with three stages at the Kunsthaus.
With top audiovisual acts, DAZZED will transform the Kunsthaus into an audiovisual event venue with three stages for the second time on November 9: Ballroom and Foyer in the Chipperfield building and, for the first time, in the large hall of the old building.

Digital Arts and Sciences Conference (D.A.S.C.) from November 7 to 9, 2024 at Kunsthaus Zürich.
The Digital Arts and Sciences Conference (D.A.S.C.) will take place over three days at the Kunsthaus Zürich in order to promote dialog between digital culture, business, science and society and to create networks between them.

Top speakers have been invited, such as Martin Andree (book: "BIG TECH MUST GO") or the American journalist Elle Reeve (book: "Black Pill: How I Witnessed the Darkest Corners of the Internet Come to Life, Poison Society, and Capture American Politics").

  • Thursday, November 7, interested parties will receive the latest information on AI applications. We will explore the question of which best practices actually improve our lives with AI.

  • Friday, November 8, the panel participants will discuss current political developments and the influence of fake news on our society, economy and cultural understanding.

  • Saturday, November 9, experts will address and discuss how the art and culture market and the perception of art will develop in the future.

Opening vernissage on October 31.
As in previous years, the vernissage will take place on Thursday, October 31, 6 p.m. at the Museum für Gestaltung, where the best entertainment will be combined with insights into the program. Admission is free.
