Olivier Varenne

Olivier Varenne is active in the art world for twenty-five years.  Born from a family of collectors and dealers, he recently opened a galley at the heart of Geneva’s art district, the Quartier des Bains, across from the Mamco (Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain).  The space occupies two versatile spaces at 37 and 39 rue des Bains which lend themselves either to solo shows occupying both spaces, or separate independent shows. Olivier Varenne’s career lead him some years ago to establish a significant collection for MONA – the Museum of Old and New Art property of David Walsh in Australia. The museum reflects now an audience of hundreds of thousands visitors annually.  In addition to a large amount of acquisitions, and consolidating the collection, Olivier continues curating cutting edge exhibitions and commissions monumental in-situ installations.
