Mission Statement
Le Salon Vert was founded in 2014 in Carouge, Geneva in order to foster emerging and mid-career artists.The classical conception of an art gallery is extended to a convivial and stimulating space for all: artists, art enthusiasts and committed collectors. The gallery program focuses on classical techniques (paper-cut, painting, drawing, ceramic...) which are applied in a contemporary context as well as work by woman artists. Artists such as Heike Weber, Thomas Maisonnasse and Susanna Bauer also create architectural installations for commissions destined for public or private spaces. In 2016, Le Salon Vert was admitted to Geneva’s Association of Contemporary Art Galleries (Geneve.art) as well as the Association ArtCarouge. In 2018 we participated at VOLTA 14 Basel, in 2019 at Paper Positions Berlin and at VOLTA 15 Basel.
