Roger Eberhard

For three years, Roger Eberhard has photographed sites of former borders, recent or archaic, around the world. These places collectively reveal the incessant need for demarcation between oneself and others in successive human societies. The texts accompanying the images relate these major and minor historical episodes, often tragic, sometimes absurd, and sometimes surprisingly peaceful.
