Crampi Al Cuore è un festival legato all’editoria indipendente, situato a Locarno, in Ticino, e presenta publishers e case editrici della scena svizzera e internazionale. Fanzine, libri d’artista, cataloghi, pubblicazioni inedite e altre tipologie di immagini cartacee legate alla grafica, all’illustrazione, alla fotografia e in senso più ampio all’arte contemporanea, sono i contenuti che verranno presentati al salon del festival. La scelta curatoriale degli artisti presentati si concentra su professionisti del settore legati alla ricerca nel mondo delle immagini, con un'attenzione partico- lare alle arti visive ma con varie contaminazioni come è tipico nell’arte contemporanea. A fianco della proposta strettamente legata all’editoria, ci saranno degli eventi collaterali quali, talk, concerti e un'esposizione negli spazi de la rada.

Il festival si appresta ad affrontare la sua seconda edizione. Pur restando nell’ambito dell’editoria indipendente, da quest’anno, si vuole arricchire maggiormente la proposta artistica dei partecipanti, presentando editori giovanissimi e più di nicchia, e publishers più affermati nel panorama della Svizzera italiana e nazionale, con editori dalle diverse regioni linguistiche.

Un evento di questa portata non è usuale in Ticino, sebbene le manifestazioni nell’ambito siano molto presenti nelle altre zone linguistiche svizzere (I Never Read a Basilea, p.a.g.e.s a Ginevra, Volume a Zurigo...). L’intento è quindi quello di mettere in relazione i partecipanti della fiera e di fare così conoscere meglio in Svizzera la scena ticinese. Con questo festival, che prevede sia una fiera, che degli eventi collaterali, si vuole quindi arricchire il panorama ticinese con un evento legato specificamente all’editoria indipendente.

Per l’occasione dell’evento, la rada stessa, con i suoi ventisette anni di età, presenterà la sua ampia collezione di libri d’artista, cataloghi, fanzine e riviste di settore del suo archivio, rendendole accessibili al pubblico. La ristrutturazione di esso è infatti in atto, anche grazie al sostegno del Cantone, che permetterà a la rada di creare uno spazio di lettura apposito al suo interno.

Gli eventi collaterali saranno: la mostra POST ACTION: Supports of languages, negli spazi abituali de la rada; i concerti dei artisti-performance sonora e dei talks legati al panorama editoriale ticinese, e presentazioni di pubblicazioni inedite.

Crampi Al Cuore is a festival related to independent publishing, located in Locarno, Ticino, and presents publishers and publishing houses from the Swiss and international scene. Fanzines, artist's books, catalogs, unpublished publications, and other types of printed images related to graphics, illustration, photography, and more broadly contemporary art are the contents that will be presented at the festival salon. The curatorial choice of the artists presented focuses on professionals related to research in the world of images, with a special focus on the visual arts but with various contaminations as is typical in contemporary art. Alongside the proposal strictly related to publishing, there will side events such as talks, concerts, and an exhibition in the spaces of la Rada.

The festival is preparing for its second edition. While remaining in the sphere of independent publishing, as of this year, the aim is to further enrich the artistic proposal of the participants, presenting very young and more niche publishers, as well as more established publishers on the Italian and national Swiss scene, with publishers from the various linguistic regions.

An event on this scale is not usual in Ticino, although events in this field are very present in other Swiss linguistic areas (I Never Read in Basel, p.a.g.e.s in Geneva, Volume in Zurich...). The intention is therefore to bring the participants of the festival together and thus make the Ticino scene better known in Switzerland. With this festival, which includes both a fair and side events, the aim is therefore to enrich the Ticino scene with an event specifically related to independent publishing.

For the occasion of the event, the 27-year-old rada itself will present its extensive collection of artists' books, catalogs, fanzines, and magazines from its archive, making them accessible to the public. The renovation of it is in fact underway, also thanks to the support of the canton, which will allow la Rada to create a special reading space within it.

The side events will be : the POST ACTION: Supports of languages exhibition, in the usual spaces of la rada; sound-performance concerts and talks related to the Ticino publishing scene, and presentations of unpublished publications.
