OTO SOUND MUSEUM
Infos
OTO SOUND MUSEUM is a nomadic museum that produces, presents and collects recent or unpublished sound works by contemporary artists from different backgrounds, geographies and generations. It was founded in 2020 as a strategy to overcome the limitations on cultural participation due to the pandemic. The museum was born digitally as an iconoclastic environment and a utopian architecture on the platform www.oto.museum to host digital sound shows. It is also used to travel across different places in the physical realm, transforming its identity along the way. Among its objectives is the regeneration and interrogation of residual historical places through the practices of sound.
In the past years OTO SOUND MUSEUM has developed both performances and sound installations at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Migration Museum in Zurich, La Voirie in Biel/Bienne, La rada in Locarno, Wasserturm Zurich, Sonic Matter Zurich, Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’Art Contemporain, Klang Moor Schopfe, Biennales Festival für audiovisuelle Kunst in Gais and Biennale Son Valais.
