My Window
Beny Steiner’s remarkable career has taken her across the globe, from her beginnings in Grisons to journeys through Kabul and New York. Initially starting as a model, she soon found her true calling behind the camera. Beny built a successful international photography career, marked by her exceptional use of colour and style. Today, Beny lives and works in Scuol, in the beautiful Engadine valley in Switzerland.
In recent years, she has been navigating the immense challenge of gradually losing her sight. Rather than diminishing her artistic vision, this experience has marked a new chapter in her creative exploration. Beny now focuses on light, shade, movement, and stillness, opening fresh pathways for experiencing the world around her, with the Piz Pizoc mountain as a focal point.
Her photographs, printed on cotton rag paper, reflect a tender, poetic intimacy. Beny captures moods and emotions through her work, deftly playing with colour and contrast to celebrate these fleeting moments. Her photography embraces the quiet beauty of nature—birds in flight, drifting clouds—resonating with the richness of her personal experiences and the serene beauty of her Alpine surroundings.
Don't miss this chance to experience the evocative work on Beny Steiner! The exhibition opens on 05 October in St. Moritz, from 16:30 to 19:00.
We look forward to welcoming you in St. Moritz!
